Technical term – approaching UXO
Approaching of UXO is the consecutive and repeated execution of detecting, locating and layered excavation, in order to determine the presence of a suspect object safely and accurately. An excavator is often used for layered excavation, but the final stage of approaching a suspect object is always done by hand. The photo shows an expert locating an aerial bomb with a prodder.
